Mary Wright, MNZM, HOF
As a native New Zealander, Mary started her gymnastics coaching career very early. Transferring her talents to the USA in 1975, Mary became a US citizen in 2011 and continued her stellar career in California and Utah.

Mary has produced numerous National Champions, eleven Olympians, countless World Championships competitors, and many others representing the USA in competitions in Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Brazil, France, England, Bulgaria, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Portugal, Canada, Czechoslovakia, and Russia. But in Mary’s own words, “My greatest joy is that 132 of my gymnasts have received full college gymnastics scholarships to Universities in the USA”.

Ms. Wright received the very prestigious award, MNZM—New Zealand Order of Merit, by Queen Elizabeth. She was also inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2021. Mary Wright stands on top with Olympians from New Zealand, the USA, and Canada, an accomplishment hard-pressed to find elsewhere.
